Snow Icecream

so when it is cold outside and school has been cancelled, I have a solution......make show ice-cream! The boys loved it! I wanted to share pictures with you about our experience today. I think we need to go pro with this...... "The Wilbanks Snow Icecream Parlor! where our motto is "Say NO to yellow snow! Dirt is not optional but included! I've also included a link of the recipe where I found the recipe for snow ice-cream. Please enjoy!   http://allrecipes.com/recipe/snow-ice-cream-ii/   this is the recipe.
 You will need:
1 gallon of snow (or more if depending on the consistency that you like)
1 cups of sugar (I add to taste. My boys like more than what is called for) :)
1 tablespoon of vanilla
2 cups of milk
food coloring of choice
candy sprinkles, Oreo cookie chopped up, etc.

When it starts to snow (we don't do it like this. my boys just go out with a big spoon and bowl, place a large, clean bowl outside to collect the flakes. When full, stir in sugar and vanilla to taste, then stir in just enough milk for the desired consistency. Serve at once. Also, before you mix in snow, place a small amount in a clear glass or bowl and melt in microwave to see now much dirt is actually in the snow. However, GOD MADE DIRT, DIRT DON'T HURT!! LOL, My boys thing is....if you don't see it, it doesn't exist. ;)

my only tip for the day is...... JUST SAY NO TO YELLOW SNOW!

enjoy.....

Free Minecraft Chore Chart & Award System with Printables

Hello, When it comes to chores in our house, it becomes a CHORE to get them to do chores-pun intended! They would rather play Minecraft all day long or just play all day long! Not only do they NOT want to do chores but they also think they should bet a toy everyday and in-between that comes candy every time we walk into the store. I had to figure out a system to get them to do their chores and make it a bit fun too. They need to learn responsibility in this world because you have to work for what you want. Yesterday, my 10 year old says, "mom, can I have this new star wars lego toy? It only costs $99." I said, "uh, no but you can save your chore money and buy it that way." He says to me-just as serious as he could be, "all you got to do is go to the bank and take it out or write a check and get money anytime you want." um.....yeah.....it doesn't work that way. The bank does not just give you money, you have to earn it and then put it in there....

Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare Papercraft

Plants vs Zombies Papercraft (Gargantuar) Hello all! I wanted to share a paper craft that I made with my oldest son for his 11th birthday last weekend. He is so sweet, he said that all he wanted for his birthday was a paper craft of his favorite character from PVZ Garden Warfare, Gargantuar.  He and I searched and searched and found a fantastic designer that designs paper crafts of all kinds. Visit his deviantart site HERE . His name is Jeff and his Deviantart name is Jepi12. Not only are his designs the best I have seen but he is absolutely wonderful to work with. He responds to messages quickly and really helped to make my son's birthday the best it could be. You have got to check out his designs. He has a design for everyone! Here is the design of Gargantuar that we did and then I will show you our finished project. My boys and I made the paper craft together. Here is a picture of the Gargantuar. Click on the picture and it will take you to Jeff's site. ...

Minecraft Sword Tutorial Using Wooden Blocks

The boys LOVE Minecraft and have gotten me hooked on it too! Here is a tutorial that my boys and I did together and it was so easy! I got the idea off of youtube from username, "Ihascupquake" She does a bigger version of the sword and I changed a couple of things. I also do mine a little different than she does her sword as far as color, size, etc. I've got many more tutorials of Minecraft goodies. Minecraft bingo, v-day cards, and many more that I want to share with you. This sword is made using 1/2 in wooden blocks that are painted and then glued together. The tutorial on youtube was made using 1 inch blocks I believe. I wanted to make sure they would like it and it didn't take as long as it did when we did the 1 inch blocks. Plus, it was a perfect size that the boys could choose if they wanted it hung on the wall or some other way. I have to say that sometimes our crafts that we make always end up with me making the rest of it while the kiddos go play but t...
